Research Magazine Cover 2
The masthead 'Ridgewater College' is plain white which is simple and stands out. This would appeal to a more older age group such as parents/carers, or it could also appeal to a more smarter college student, as the bold and simple font makes it look more sophisticated. This makes it appeal to maybe a broader audience. The main image is of a girl sat in a chair, the expression on the girls face suggests that the college is fun and exciting. The girl also looks confident and comfortable, there is also a direct adress as the woman on the cover is looking straight out into the audiences eyes to create purpose. The globe in the corner of the magazine suggests that the college is multicultural or studies geography.
The anchorage text on this cover would be "Global Learning" the words Global Learning suggests that the college has many opportunities for students to study abroad or just study other countries in detail. This shows that the college is ethnically balanced.
There are a few aspects that are not included within the magazine such as; the strapline, Skyline, bar code and a price. There is a slogan on the page but unfortunately it is to blurry to be read.
There are a few sell lines such as the "Inside!" this draws the attention of the audience as it creates a sence of mystery/engima. The Audience would also be interestd in the small corner image which is what looks like to be a man with a baby waulrus. This shows that the college also covers things such as animal safety or the prevention of animal cruelty.
The colour scheme of this magazine seems to be blue, white and a small part of green. Now this suggests a global theme of the world. the blue would symbolise the ocean, peacefull and calm. The white would suggest the ice/polar caps, still but sharp and the green would symbolise the land/greenery.
This magazine cover is quite formal in its organisation/layout. It is spaced out and easier to read which shows that this magazine is for a lower aged audience. The creater of this magazine did not use many graphic effects as there is only one added shape to the magazine.
